There are 2.7B deskless workers globally, and one-third work in agriculture.. Software tools built for white-collar workers just don’t work for agricultural workers who are often lower literacy, migrant, unbanked, and not accustomed to using email and apps. That’s where we come in. 

Ganaz is the workforce management platform for the $1+ trillion North American agriculture and food manufacturing industry. We help create safer, fairer and more profitable workplaces while providing the financial services needed to help workers forge a path out of poverty.  Our software currently helps employers onboard, train, communicate with, and retain their multilingual, deskless workforce. We will soon be launching paycards with integrated remittances, saving money for both workers and employers in this large and underserved market. We’re working with some of the largest and best brands in the industry, and our product offering and customer base is growing fast.

The Role

We are looking for a full-cycle recruiter to help us triple our headcount by the end of the year. As our first in-house recruiter, you will own our hiring process from sourcing to offer by sourcing candidates, screen applicants, supporting and coaching hiring managers, and making sure all candidates have excellent experiences. You will work closely with leadership to prioritize and strategize key hires and be the liaison to external recruiting firms as needed. As our first recruiter, you will be the torch-bearer for processes and systems that help us build a diverse, strong, and excellent team within our remote-first, international organization spanning the US and Mexico. You will report to the Head of Operations.

What you’ll do

Within 1 month you will…

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our company products and services

  • Understand our mission, vision, and company goals, and become an expert at communicating them to candidates

  • Take ownership of our hiring process and make improvements and adjustments, building out new workflows as needed.

  • Take ownership of key job openings as the primary sourcer and screener

  • Be the go-to person for new job postings, guiding and coaching hiring managers through the process.

Within 3 months you will…

  • Work closely with hiring managers and leadership to take a holistic approach in building each team, proactively planning and sourcing for future growth

  • Implement a candidate tracking system, train the team on how to use it, and build out our roles and processes within it.

  • Make informed data-driven decisions that build efficiencies into the recruiting process and expand our sourcing pipelines

Within 6 months you will...

  • Work with hiring managers and leadership to prioritize key hires, create hiring forecasts, and plan company growth.

  • Be a people expert in the ag-tech space, understanding the competitive landscape and where and how to find great talent.

  • Find effective & efficient ways to use marketing collateral, conferences, and networking to improve how we source and attract candidates

  • Be a cultural pillar of the company, broadcasting and reflecting our mission and values in order to ensure new hires are aligned with both.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience executing full-cycle recruiting, with an emphasis on sourcing and building diverse pipelines.

  • Ability to sell candidates, especially by clearly communicating our company mission, vision, and values. 

  • Excellent organizational skills, and a knack for systems and process

  • Ability to understand and prioritize the hiring needs of different functions

Requirements:

  • (Highly desired) Fluency in Spanish and English, spoken and written

  • Minimum 3+ years of recruiting experience
